A wide range of optional subjects, taught by specialist subject teachers. We review and expand the range of subjects offered annually.
All students take a compulsory AS subject, General Studies. This boosts their general knowledge and reading and writing skills.
Post-'Mock' teaching: students are taught right up to their A-Level examinations in May and June.
Academic counseling: regular review of individual student performance by our specially-trained academic counselors.
Learning Support: teaching assistants run the tutoring programme.
Small class size – it is generally acknowledged that small-class size promotes learning. At Bay View College we strive to ensure that our classes are as small as possible, ensuring individual attention and interaction.
Sciences at Bay View College
Our exceptional science faculty has the expertise and commitment to ensure that students earn top grades at A-level. Students are guaranteed individual attention. Regular practicals are scheduled in our fully equipped laboratories to ensure a hands-on approach to help clarify concepts. In addition to regular classes, extra small-group tutorials are held regularly to further enhance student success.
Science graduates achieve top university placements. Recent A-level science graduates are now studying Medicine, Chemical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Biological Sciences at King's College London, Imperial College London, McGill University, Boston University, A.K.U. and Ziauddin Hospital.
