At Bay View we believe that no student's education is complete without participation in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Bay View High School is alive with activities and events which take place throughout the year - often at the initiative of students.

A1 Welcome Party

Traditionally the A2s throw a welcome event for the incoming A1 batch. An A1 recalls: "The A2s made wonderful hosts - they received us warmly, kept us entertained and made efforts to ensure that we were at ease."

Bake Sales

Students organise, bake and cook to raise money for charity (and feed their friends!)

Bonfire Night

Students and faculty get together every January to dress up and enjoy the weather and BBQ food.

Inter-House Quiz

Every year the School's three Houses pick a team of 'know-it-alls' to compete in general knowledge quiz.

Everlasting Spirit Carnival

Held every two years, the Carnival celebrates life in all its diversity. It includes a wide range of activities, the most popular of which are Haunted House, the sponge throw, jail-the-teacher, disco, and in previous years, the Italian food stall. The Carnival day is rounded off with the ever-popular raffle.

Culture Day

This annual event celebrates Pakistani culture through food stalls, traditional handicraft displays, mehndi stalls, and traditional dress and folksongs. Class Xs take a lead in organising this event for the rest of the school to enjoy.

Trips Abroad

Every year the school organises a trip to foreign climes for intrepid students. In 2008 the destination was Turkey, in 2009 Dubai, in 2010 China, and in 2011 the trip will be to Sri Lanka.

Eid Milan

Students dress up and celebrate eid in traditional style!

Student Week

The student week is a week dedicated to Bay View High students - organised by the students, for the students. In the past the numerous events have included movie nights, music concerts, crazy hair days, eating competitions, talent shows, tug-of-wars, and a night-time sports match.

Independence Day

With national athems, speeches, dance performances, halwa-poori, on this day Bay View High celebrates the birth of the nation in traditional style.

International Peace Day

Bay View High students celebrate this every year with several days of activities. Students compose and read poems, collect for charity, release doves and perform skits.

Graduation Dinner

It is tradition that this end-of-year event is organised by the A1s for the graduating A2 class. Described by one student as: "a night of mixed emotions celebrating the end of the school year while at the same time bidding farewell to our seniors" and another as a "time to reflect upon the many adventures shared, celebrate our achievements and relive the memories that make school life so memorable", this dinner celebrates the outgoing A2 class of students.
