Bay View College degree programme is now four years old. We quickly earned the status of a Registered Centre two years ago, and our constant focus is to provide high standards of teaching and learning. We have had organic growth and continue to attract high quality students, not only from Bay View High but also from other institutions in Karachi offering A-levels. We stand by our commitment to provide the best quality teachers who are experienced and qualified to teach the demanding UoL curriculum. This ensures that students are well prepared before the final exams without any external help. Our results have been outstanding and our students continue to achieve distinctions and merits. We are proud of our students' achievements, and for example, in 2010 one of our students earned a world distinction in Economics of Development. During the four years since our inception we have introduced new degrees which include LLB and BSc in pure Economics, introduced last year. In the new academic year 2011 / 2012, we will offer BSc in International Development for which London School of Economics provides academic direction. The University of London International Programme is becoming very popular globally and last year a provider's meeting was held in Singapore which our team attended. At this meeting, our team, along with UoL representatives, brain stormed new marketing strategies to create awareness about the International Programme in Pakistan. This is a very competitive degree qualification and it guarantees direct entry into postgraduate programmes anywhere in the world. Furthermore, students also benefit from earning a foreign qualification, which increases their employment, both locally and internationally. The programme is extremely cost-effective and it is a great opportunity for capable students with limited financial resources. These qualifications guarantee entry into any excellent post-graduate institution worldwide. Students can rely on the Bay View College – UoL programme to provide them with a superior qualification prized and preferred by employers coupled with the opportunity to proceed abroad upon graduation to pursue post-graduate studies. Bay View College Degree programme also offers partial merit scholarships to capable students. Our effort and commitment have been well received and we not only wish to sustain our current success but it is our goal to continuously develop and strengthen the breadth and quality of the services we provide. |
